Having been discussing the Periodic Review 2024 (PR24) implications for some time, it is now real and relevant and businesses need to act to adopt. In this session we will discuss the changes to UK Accounting standards brought about by PR24, specifically new revenue recognition and lease accounting rules under FRS 102. The session will cover both accounting and tax implications, and the potential commercial impact of these changes for example impact on EBITDA and debt covenants.
Private equity-backed portfolio companies are expected to scale, grow, and transact within a short timeframe. This interactive session will explore how to manage the challenges of rapid growth to ensure value is delivered. Topics will include setting the scene for value creation ahead of exit, managing growth and cost, and addressing the importance of talent and leadership, alongside risk and resilience. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with our experts during a Q&A session at the end.
Private equity funds and their portfolio companies face escalating cyber threats, with most experiencing incidents in recent years and many lacking robust security programs despite acknowledging the risk. This session will help CFOs understand attack vectors, assess impacts, and build response frameworks, as geopolitical tensions and AI-driven attacks make proactive cybersecurity measures more critical than ever.
This panel brings together experienced private equity portfolio company CFOs who have navigated the full journey from acquisition through to exit, working closely with PE investors along the way. The discussion will explore the evolving role of the PE PortCo CFO, including strategic leadership, balancing rapid growth with effective risk management, managing investor expectations, and protecting value throughout the lifecycle. Panellists will share practical insights, real-world experiences, and war stories from the front line.
